Gathering the Materials
You will need
- Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)
- Borax (Sodium tetraborate)
- Beaker, jar or bowl to mix in
- Food coloring (optional)
- Stirring stick or something similar
- Measuring cup (1/2 cup)
- 1 Teaspoon
- 1 gallon Ziploc bag (for storage)

Step 1 - PVA
Measure out 1/2 cup of the Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) and pout it into your container.
Note: If you want colored slime, add the food coloring at this step, you only need a few drops

Step 2 - Borax
Add the Borax into the mixture, and alow it to settle.

Step 4 - Mix It Up
Mix together the materials until they are completely mixed together and the slime has formed. This may take a little bit of time but you will see results happening relatively quickly. If you used food coloring continue to mix until there is no separation of the powder, alcohol and borax, and it is one consistency and relative color.

Step 5 - Play and Pack Away
Now all that's left to do is enjoy your slime! Make sure to keep the slime refrigerated in a sealed bag. Otherwise it will quickly dry out and get moldy.
